QuestraderWEB – market data tab
In the QuestraderWEB trading platform, you can get all the information available on the market data webpage page, plus additional market and stock data, options, charting tools, and fundamental data.

Yahoo Finance (US)
An all inclusive site with real–time equity quotes, option chains, market stats, message boards, community stock picks, top stories and commentary.

Highlights
One of the most popular financial websites, there’s no shortage of information to keep the reader engaged.

Delve into U.S. company financial statements, read articles on investing and finance, or use their financial calculators to help you make positive financial changes in your life.


Yahoo Finance (Canada)
A lighter version of U.S. Yahoo Finance. Focuses on Canadian market data and stories with a Canadian angle.

Highlights
The personal finance pages offer numerous calculators, articles, and consumer tips for Canadian readers.

For news on a particular topic, subscribe to an RSS (really simple syndication) feed to gather content from across the web.


Google Finance (US)
A straight-forward design that focuses on financial stories and market data. One highlight is the sector summary displayed on the front page. With a quick glance, one can understand the daily market in a matter of moments.

Similar to Google’s homepage; Google Finance is a straight-forward design that is easy to understand and navigate. Get beyond the simplicity and you’ll discover its powerful nature.


Google Finance (Canada)
A lighter version of the US Google Finance. Focuses on Canadian market data and stories from Canadian sources.

Highlights
Not nearly as extensive as Google Finance (US), the website has the basic Canadian market and equity data one would expect. Hopefully additional Canadian data will be added in the future.




Alpha Trends*
Offers technical analysis on the market. The paid content includes daily trading ideas and detailed video analysis.

24/7 Wall St*
Self-described as offering insightful analysis and commentary for U.S. and Global equity investors.

Highlights

Same idea as Wikipedia, but for active market participants. The content relies on user generated commentary and insights.

Barchart
This site is strongly geared towards technical analysis and gives detailed forecasts and opinions on equities. Additional information and resources are available through a paid membership.

Highlights
Barchart has a great graphic tool that displays technically significant prices for a particular stock: it shows anticipated support and resistance levels. To use this graphic tool for a particular equity, click the technicals tab and then the projections tab.

Bloomberg
One of the biggest and best known names in financial news. A staple for traders and investors the world over.

Highlights
Listen to Bloomberg live radio, get updates on your mobile device, or download a podcast. The benefit of using a media conglomerate for news is the ability to get information however, and whenever, you want it.


Financial Post
Provides an extensive number of blogs, opinions, and market news. Possibly the most trusted name in Canadian finance.

The Globe and Mail Report on Business*
Canadian financial news: use the Globe Investor site for information on ETFs and Commodities.

Although many articles and features require a paid membership, there is a significant amount of free content as well.

An extensive glossary and knowledge section on all aspects of trading, though the content is mostly geared towards U.S. traders.

If you’re studying for a recognized financial course (such as the CFA exam or the Canadian Securities Course) be sure to visit their exam prep sections.

A valuable introductory resource for anyone new to trading.

Everything you wanted to know about options but were afraid to ask.
