Accessibility Statement

This Accessibility Plan outlines the policies and actions that Questrade put in place to improve opportunities for people with disabilities.

We’re committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities by preventing and removing barriers, in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.

Customer service

We’re committed to providing accessible client services to disabled customers at the same level of quality and timeliness as others.

Information and communications

We’re committed to meeting the communication needs of disabled customers by:

  • Consulting with them to understand their individual information and communication needs
  • Making all public information accessible upon request
  • Ensuring our websites and content meet the Web Content Accessibility Guideline (WCAG) 2.0, Level AA.

Employment

We’re committed to fair and accessible employment practices through our accessible candidate experience and by ensuring the needs of disabled employees are met. We’ll continue to prevent and remove barriers as they are identified and share job postings to a diverse applicant pool.

Training

We provide accessibility training to all employees including anyone involved in developing our policies.

Design of public spaces

We’re committed to meeting the Accessibility Standards for the Built Environment when building or making major modifications to our spaces including service-related elements, like self-service kiosks, counters, queuing lines, and waiting areas. If there’s a service disruption we’ll notify the public and make alternatives available.

Procurement of goods, services, and facilities

We’re responsive to the needs of everyone—providing services and facilities that are accessible. When procuring new tools for our business we always consider the incorporation of accessibility features that maintain an environment of respect and dignity for our customers.

Design and delivery of programs and services

For customers requesting accessible formats and communication support, we’ll consult with them on their accessibility needs and respond to individual requests. We’ll incorporate language into our materials stating that accessible formats are available upon request.

Future plans

We’re committed to conducting ongoing review on our content and our policies to ensure that we are providing the best possible service to all of our clients.

Our Accessibility Committee is responsible for reviewing our accessibility commitment and policies and incorporating suggestions into our work.
