Because margin accounts are not registered, and do not come with any special tax benefits or limitations, you are free to transfer any amount of cash or investments into these accounts.
You can transfer both Canadian and U.S. dollars heading over to the Move Money > Transfer page. From here, you can either click on the Transfer funds or Transfer investments section depending on the type of transfer you’re going to make.
